L’Académie Safety Users Group propose un nouveau DVD. Son titre : Hardware Safety Systems Constraints Made Easy.
Adoption of IEC61508 and IEC61511 is growing, as are the issues faced by
the process industries in adapting to a whole new safety regime
[…] Presenters at a recent Safety Users Group (SUG) conference in London highlighted how growing adoption of the standards is fostering a new safety culture via a complete safety-loop approach, which goes all the way from the sensor to the systems that shut down the plant safely.
One of the issues raised by the investigation into the explosion at the Buncefield oil depot nearly two years ago is the way in which operators can ensure their terminal facilities meet the safety standards demanded of them. […] Some of these aspects were addressed at last month’s TSA conference in Coventry […] Right on cue, the Safety Users Group (SUG), an inter-industry body of professionals active in the promotion of best safety practice, has published a DVD that explores the common mistakes encountered in the application of the IEC 61508 and 61511 international standards for functional safety.
A new DVD, ‘Safety in the Process industries’ relates the experiences of 11 safety experts who ‘explore in depth’ the common mistakes and confusion surrounding the IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 international standards for functional safety.
